What is ID Template OCR?

Argos KYC has a database of identification cards such as name, gender, and document number.
The database stores the geometric structure of the ID card and the definition of the data at the same time.
This optical character recognition is called Template OCR.

How many identity documents supported?

Argos KYC service can verify over 1,600 ID types issued over 210 countries with OCR Technology.
Over 4,000 ID documents can be covered by expert review.
Argos KYC got you and your customers covered wherever in the world.

How it works?

Argos KYC Template OCR goes through the following process

STEP 01

User takes a picture of his/her ID card

STEP 02

Extract the area of each ID card

STEP 03

Verifies the validation of the extracted data

Why ID Template OCR needed?

If you only proceed with optical character recognition, you cannot know which category the characters belong to.
For example, suppose the character “May 20, 1990” is extracted from your ID card.
Is this the holder’s “date of birth”? Is it the “issuance date” of the ID card?
Check what kind of data is useful when you receive data in the form as follows.
